The Journey

I hear you call my name in the silence of the night.

You tell me you plan, and my journey begins.

I am blind on the which roads to travel on in my journey.

But you are the light that shines the way for me.

Many things have you shown me during my journey.

Some were scary and some were happy.

But always they were a gift, for they came from you.

You have during my journey, wiped away my tears,

carried me when I could not carry on.  

Strengthened me when I was weak, and broken

from the weight of the world, and loved me when no one else would.

You have given your life for me, so I may be saved by your grace.

As I continue on with my journey in this,

 I search for you and my purpose, in a world full of chaos.

Judgement Day

I sit in my chair behind the giant desk, 

waiting for the judge to give the verdict.

Guilty or not guilty?

Quickly I pray a silent prayer to God for strength

to endure the judgement that will determine

my freedom from the prison I have found myself.

The judge enters the courtroom.

I stand, taking a deep breath

then sit back down after the judge has taken his seat. 

He shuffles through the papers, 

picks on out and reads it.

FREEDOM! NOT Guilty!

The chains and shackles are removed

I am Free!

My heart is free to love again, my soul is free 

of the darkness it has been kept in from the sunlight.

My body is free to run unrestrained from the chains,

that have held me back for far too long.

I can breathe the fresh air, 

feel the sun again on my face, that is now happy with smiles

and hope for tomorrow,

Because I am FREE!

Eye Of The Storm

The clouds may come the winds may change, the rains may fall to stain my face.

But safe within loves embrace, I find the blessings of his grace...in the eye of the storm

I hold a compass in my hand, as it shows me to go ahead.

Into the great unknown, into the vast rugged sea waters, 

as I search for my treasures.

Jesus shines his star down on me, lighting my way.

In the midst of the storm he is there.

At last I have found my treasure, in the eye of the storm.
