The True Reason for the Season

I found it hard to write this year's Christmas celebration message. With all the heartaches that I have seen through friends and family, this time of year gets to me on a personal level. Everyone is going through hardships from finances to loss of loved ones. But we all must remember that the Jesus isn't the reason for the season. It is we the human race is the true reason for the season! This is why Jesus came and died for us. We needed a savior that could take on all our sins and change us from the inside out. Jesus came so that we might live more abundantly, so that we can have that relationship with the Heavenly Father again just like before the fall of Adam.
Christmas isn't about shopping.
Christmas isn't about the food.
Christmas isn't about the tree.
Christmas isn't about the flowers.
Christmas isn't about the lights.
Christmas isn't about the decorations.
Christmas isn't about Santa Claus or reindeer.
Christmas isn't about your friends or family.

Christmas is about the celebration of the true source of life.
Jesus Christ came so that we can live again in the presence of our Lord. To be born again and become like the spotless lamb. To be forgiven and to have a relationship with God on a personal level is the desire of God’s heart.
If you could step away from the secular view of "holidays" and see Christmas as Christ's birthday in every way, things could be different. Our lives would reflect and imitate Jesus' behavior and lifestyle.
So, this Christmas let Christ ring true into your lives and share the love of His birth to all mankind! Allow Jesus to set you free and complete you. I know that we as humans place this day as a marketing ploy and not as a celebration of eternal life. Remember that even if you didn’t get what you wanted or don’t have money, God is faithful to take care of you even in the hard times. I should know, I’ve been homeless and dealt with grieving my lost loved ones, and have been very poor as well. God took care of me when all seemed lost. And I believe with all my heart that Jesus will take care of you in your mountains and valleys called your life!

God Bless & Celebrate Christ’s Birth

  2. Thank you for sharing Jeremy. We also have a hard time writing our true thoughts during this season. We have also experienced personally, and have seen our friends and family experience hurts, loss of loved ones, rejection. It seems that losses and hurts always come when we are looking forward to the most, the joy and peace that only God can give. God bless you and Miranda and may you always have the peace of God in your souls. We love you.
