The Cure

Have you ever been told that there is NO CURE for your ailments?

Jeremiah 17:9 (New Century Version)

9 "More than anything else, a person's mind is evil
and cannot be healed.
Who can understand it?

The mind is a place full of everything we ever went through.

All of us have daily struggles that come across our minds.

Matthew 9:4 (New International Version)

4Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?

It is the battlefield for our daily decisions. Where we should allow Jesus to take control of our lives and lead us further.

2 Corinthians 10:5 (English Standard Version)

5We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

Only God is the CURE for everything we go through.

Luke 7:21 (Wycliffe New Testament)

21 And in that hour he healed many men of their sicknesses, and wounds, and [of] evil spirits; and he gave sight to many blind men.

Why don't we want to move beyond where we currently are in Christ? Is it because we have become lukewarm and afraid to step out into the unknown. Step up give yourself to God completely and step down from the pilot seat. God shouldn't be your CO-PILOT. He should be your Pilot while you are in the passenger seats!

1 Corinthians 13:11 (New King James Version)

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

This is the message for us each day. To take care of ourselves and others. The body of Christ needs to be refined in the fire each day. Remember when you are down and you can't see any further. Just look up and give up yourself to God and say, " I can't do this on my own!". For Jesus is the CURE!

Ephesians 6:18 (New Living Translation)

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.[a]

Footnotes:

1. Ephesians 6:18 Greek all of God’s holy people.

The School of Worship "The Cure" Lyrics

What can I say.
It was my sin that put you there that day.
I'm ashamed to reclaim other names.
What can I do for it is I who spit on you.
I stood.
I watched.
I mocked.
I even cursed you too.
I bow my face to the dirt in light of selfish sin unseen.
I shut my mouth and I open up my heart now ready to receive
the gospel shown by the love of Jesus King of all Kings
Messiah you are the cure you broke the curse and now I'm free
Now I'm Free Yeah.
Now I'm Free.
What can I say, it's by your grace you even look my way I'm amazed to be claimed by this name
What can I do for it is I who honor you I cannot be the same your love has made me new
There is no way I could pay the debt I've made I am a poor man
Today is the day I am saved in Jesus name I am a new man.
