The True Reason for the Season
Christmas isn't about shopping.
Christmas isn't about the food.
Christmas isn't about the tree.
Christmas isn't about the flowers.
Christmas isn't about the lights.
Christmas isn't about the decorations.
Christmas isn't about Santa Claus or reindeer.
Christmas isn't about your friends or family.
Christmas is about the celebration of the true source of life.
Jesus Christ came so that we can live again in the presence of our Lord. To be born again and become like the spotless lamb. To be forgiven and to have a relationship with God on a personal level is the desire of God’s heart.
If you could step away from the secular view of "holidays" and see Christmas as Christ's birthday in every way, things could be different. Our lives would reflect and imitate Jesus' behavior and lifestyle.
So, this Christmas let Christ ring true into your lives and share the love of His birth to all mankind! Allow Jesus to set you free and complete you. I know that we as humans place this day as a marketing ploy and not as a celebration of eternal life. Remember that even if you didn’t get what you wanted or don’t have money, God is faithful to take care of you even in the hard times. I should know, I’ve been homeless and dealt with grieving my lost loved ones, and have been very poor as well. God took care of me when all seemed lost. And I believe with all my heart that Jesus will take care of you in your mountains and valleys called your life!
God Bless & Celebrate Christ’s Birth

Prayer for Miranda Caverley
Category: Life
Miranda Caverley December 23 at 6:24pm
Dear JMC Ministries Members,
It is not often that I write to ask for prayer for JMC Ministries. But we are in need especially me. Where's why...
Yesterday I woke up to what we thought was hives that had broken out on the entire right side of my body from my hip to my elbow. Today they had spread to the other side of my body and I was in pain everytime any of the welts or hives were touched.
So Jeremy took me to the doctor and we found out it is not hives but something worse. Staff infection or MRSA! Is what the doctor told me. She has put me on antibiotics and I am quarantined. Jeremy is not even allowed to sleep in the same bed with me until this clears up.
This is not the first time I have contracted MRSA/Staff when I was a nurses aid working in nursing homes 2 years ago. I got MRSA in my leg so bad, that I was hospitalized for 2 days, quarantined and hooked up to antibiotics intravenously. Then I was not allowed to come back to work for another 2 weeks after that. When you get MRSA/Staff you are more susceptible to getting it again. So this kinda is no surprise to me, but I am very confused where I may have gotten from, and haven't the fondest clue.
Of course this puts a damper on Christmas now. The only Christmas I can have is with my mom. I can't go to our families big gathering because there are young children and also I really don't want to chance giving this to anyone.
To keep the Staff infection from spreading to others I have to continually wash my hands and use hand sanitizer along with wiping everything down like door knobs, the computer keyboards that I may touch with Clorox disinfectant wipes. And of course no one can touch the bed sheets, blankets, towels, and wash cloths I may use unless they have been washed and disinfected.
So please pray for me and also Jeremy as we go through this round of sickness that has struck my body and that if it is God's will that I be healed quickly. God Bless my friends and thank you for being a part of JMC Ministries and supporting me and Jeremy.
Merry Christmas,

Dear Friends,
Due to the over abundance of responses to my prayer request yesterday I am having to do a mass response. I received over 20 messages on facebook alone of those praying for me during this illness.
We posted it on Twitter and we had people calling us and retweeting our prayer request as fast as we posted it. To get more people to pray for me. Others were telling me to post my prayer request on their pages so that their friends would see, and also pray.
Today Christmas Eve I fixed my first Turkey a 15 pound one for 2 people yep we will be eating turkey for quite a while. Stuffing, biscuits, noodles and mashed potatoes. This is mine and jeremy's first Christmas in our own home and our first time cooking a Christmas dinner together.
I know through all of your prayers that the Lord blessed me with the energy to make this wonderful dinner. The infection hasn't spread to more parts of my body, but more spots have popped up where there are already spots. The antibiotics are working because I don't have the pain and burning as bad as it has been in the past 2 days. We also have some gel to put on me that has lidicain in it and it also helps with the pain and burning.
Jeremy did sleep on the couch last night but really didn't sleep because he kept checking on me to make sure I was ok through out the night. He also broke down and gave me one of my christmas presents he bought me. It was "Celtic Woman" Christmas concert on DVD I love that special and would have given Jeremy a big hug if I wasn't quarantined.
So Jeremy and I won't miss the presents mom got us my sister and brother in law are bringing our gifts over from mom and them so we will have presents to open up tomorrow morning.
Again thank you all for praying for me and supporting Jeremy and I. I'm about to tear up because it means so much to us, and it also shows us how we have made a difference for our Lord right here on Facebook "To God Be the Glory"
Merry Christmas and God Bless

Miranda Caverley of JMC Ministries in Local Chillicothe Gazette

The slumping economy hasn't had a huge impact on Christmas toy donations at the Salvation Army this year.
Capt. Amber Boone of the Chillicothe Salvation Army said the need was strong this year, and although some normal donors weren't able to help, others stepped in to take their place.
"I think a lot of people realized it was going to be a tough year and maybe just took the time to donate one or two things, it all added up," she said. "We were able to help just as much as we have in the past."
Some bought gifts for those in need off trees throughout the community, and others donated through private food drives. The businesses at Central Center conducted a toy drive and donated the toys, to Boone's surprise.
"We didn't know they were having a drive, so when they showed up with toys, we were so grateful," she said.
Other organizations donated money from fundraisers, including the local VFW Post and the Rock for Tots.
"To get those checks and have money to get more gifts with was great," Boone said. "We get a lot of toy donations for younger kids, so with a check, we can go out and buy gifts for older kids and boys. That way we can suit all the needs."
It's a busy time of year for the Salvation Army. After helping families through the holiday season, the organization gears up to start its 2010 programs in January.
After-school programs for teens offering homework help and a daytime homeless shelter are just a few of the programs operated by the Salvation Army on East Fourth Street. Boone said the collections taken at red kettles during the holiday season allow them to operate throughout the year.
"A lot of people think those donations are for the holidays, but those donations help us throughout the year in community outreach," she said.
The kettles go out during the holiday season when people are in the giving spirit.
"This community has come forward and helped so much," Boone said. "Especially around the holidays. We got nervous when we saw how many needed help this year, but the Lord always provides, and thank goodness we were also able to provide."

JMC Ministries Response
written by Miranda Caverley
Yep that is me in that picture with one of the teens from the Salvation Army Church. I have worked with the Salvation Army Chillicothe Corp for nearly 6 years. Working with the different children programs they run, playing drums, and piano for church services, volunteering to help with the Christmas distribution, and the red kettle campaign.
Reaching out to the community in Chillicothe Ohio has been my passion for many years to help make a difference in peoples lives.
Jeremy and I didn't know the newspaper was showing up that day to take pictures and write this article. If we did I probably wouldn't have been wearing the reindeer antlers, but I am a goofy person and if you know me personally I love to make people laugh and have a good time. And we definately had a good time.
We at JMC Ministries pray you are inspired and blessed this Christmas season to reach out to those in need and share the love of Christ everyday.

Thanksgiving Day 2009 with JMC Ministries
This thanksgiving day was a bitter sweet event. It was wonderful being with family, but sad because my (miranda) Papaw William Steinhauer is no longer with us. He passed away on January 10, 2009 and this is our first year of not having him for the holidays. For most of the day no one even talked about Papaw, but then my Aunt Moni shared a song from Phillips, Craig, and Dean and it just sounded like it was written about my Papaw. There was not a dry eye in the house. And I was so thankful that she shared that, because I was beginning to think no one was even going to talk about Papaw.
That afternoon we headed back home and took a good long nap. Because at 10p.m. Jeremy headed down to Walmart to stay until 5 a.m. when the black friday sale started. We have been saving and planning to get a laptop for JMC Ministries, and Walmart had the best deal. Jeremy was the first in line for the item we were wanting, and even witnessed to some people and gave out some of our ministry business cards.
When 5 a.m. came Jeremy was the first in line for the item we wanted. It took him about 5 seconds to get the computer, but nearly an hour to check out and then get out of the parking lot! To just drive 4 miles home. He didn’t get in until after 6 a.m. I of course didn’t sleep at all during the night worrying if he was going to be trampled or even robbed. In the past 3 months there have been a lot of robberies in our town, and that put me on edge. But God protected him and he made it out just fine, and even wants to do it again next year. However, I think he is a bit nuts due to the fact he was so stressed out the entire time. That is why I stayed home. Luckily we only have 4 more gifts to buy and we are done with our Christmas Shopping.
So that is our Thanksgiving day, and Jeremy’s first experience with Black Friday.

Update on JMC Ministries
Yeah this one is an update on us and how we have been doing. Well first and for most we are having our 2 year wedding anniversary on Tuesday Sept. 22, 2009. So we are planning a road trip for this Friday and Saturday, because on our wedding anniversary we have 2 doctors appointments and also have to do our JMC Ministries LIVE Show. But it will be fun to share our story on the show.
Miranda's health is gradually getting better. She has made a lot of progress in the past year and we pray she continues to get better. Please keep JMC Ministries in your prayers as Miranda continues to deal with her illness and for healing. We will not disclose what Miranda's illness is other than it is debilitating and keeps her from being able to work. But through treatment she is getting better.
Jeremy is still out of a job due to the economy, but thanks to unemployment benefits we have been doing good and Jeremy has been going to interviews much more than a few months ago. So we hope and pray the economy is turning around some and he will be able to get a job soon.
Financially JMC Ministries is doing well, we have in the past month paid off one of our vehicles and the other one will be paid off in 5 months. We have paid off all of Miranda's medical bills but 3, and now due to the fact that we have paid off one of the vehicles we have money to put back for emergencies. The past 2 years for JMC Ministries has been a hard one, but even during those tough times, we have always gave our tithe and offering. And we know that is why God has blessed us. In just 5 months we will be debt free except for 3 medical bills. What a blessing.
This is why you never hear or see JMC Ministries asking for Donations or anything to run the ministry. Because, everything we do is done for free. The websites, music, puppets, Eternal Flame News all the graphics and banners we make. All done for free with free website programs and free software programs. We feel that we shouldn't put a price on God's Ministry and as long as we can do it for free, there is no need to charge. Especially when we don't need the money. What we do need to buy for the Ministry, God has always provided the money. For example, our video camera that we only had for a year broke and luckily we had the money to buy a new and even better one for cheaper than what the original one cost. Along with that we have been able to buy a dvd burner so we can make our own dvd's to distribute. And because of this we have been able to help other ministries by video taping them singing, preacher or sharing about their ministry. then we post those videos on youtube with their permission so that they can share them on their sites, and also make them dvd's so that they can share them. This has actually kept us pretty busy traveling and doing these videos for other ministries. But, we are happy that we are able to help others.
October seems to going to be a busy one. We are working with our Mom to write up some new puppet skits for a Halloween themed Puppet show JMC Ministries will be doing for the Paint Creek State Park here in Ohio for their big halloween bash they throw every year. Our Aunt works for the Park and she is one that is in charge of putting this thing together and she asked us if we would come and do a puppet show for the little kids. Now we don't do scary gory stuff, because this is a ministry. We also have very strong beliefs on NOT promoting witchcraft or sorcery. It is very hard in todays society to do a clean halloween party because everything is about killing, violence and gore. But, we want to rise above what Society is promoting and give children a chance to have a fun time with out giving them nightmares. We will be video taping the whole thing and of course will post it to share with everyone.
We are even working on a special JMC Ministries LIVE show where the Puppets will be hosting it! That we do believe will be awesome! To get some ideas we've been watching alot of the Muppet Show.
On top of this we are now working on creating websites for people and helping others to create their own websites, banners etc. So we have been staying pretty busy with all this.
Just keep JMC Ministries in your prayers as we continue to work to help build the Kingdom!

JMC Ministries LIVE Topic: The Science of Lying
From the Science Channel Documentary "The Truth About Liars"
What the Experts say about lying
--They say most people lie in every 1 out of 4 sentences.
--College students's lie 50% of the time to their mom's and 77% of the time to strangers.
--They also say that lying is VITAL to happiness and survival. It is called SELF DECEPTION. Now the experts say that the only way people can stand to live life is by deceiving themselves to think the world is better than it is, ignore the problems others and even themselves are facing. Because if we lived in the real world and not the self deception world we couldn't stand it.
--And finally they say that Lying is a natural part of life, being human, and part of EVOLUTION! This was repeated over and over again through out the entire documentary by the different experts.
How Far Will Some People Go To Help Conceal A Lie?
--The documentary interviewed an online agency that helps men and women have affairs on their significant others! This website helps people create fake buisness meetings, hotel reservations and even have fake receptionists on call to answer phones to convince the "victim" that their partner is where he/she says they are
--They of course wouldn't disclose the website or the name of the company, but one woman who works for the company was interviewed and she said that she couldn't even tell her son what she does for a living it was that secretive and also the woman gave the impression that she was in a way ashamed of what kind of work she did.
A poll taken in Canada on "Who are the most trustworthy People"
--In the top were Firefighters, Nurses, and Doctors
--At the very bottom were Car Salesmen and big surprise POLITICIANS
Another poll taken states that 58% of all first time high school students cheat on exams and even some have parents do their homework for them.
--They interviewed a teacher that told of one time a student handed in a paper and had left the sticky note their mother had written saying "here you go honey had fun doing this paper for you" Even the teacher was stunned by the fact the student took no precautions to make sure they didn't get caught.
People that lied and deceived
--They talked about Adolf Hitler and how he signed peace agreements with different countries, but did not keep them and inevitably started WWII
--One man said, "Greed led me to lie and steal." Just before he was found guilty of scamming people out of millions of dollars.
At the end of the entire Documentary a professor of a University (I didn't get his name or the university because, we don't have DVR so i couldn't rewind to double check, and took notes as fast as I could) said to sum it all up, "I am a Liar and You are a liar, and that's ok."
So I looked up some quotes from people who talked about lying
--Abraham Lincoln said, "If you once foreit the confidence of your fellow citizens you can never regain their respect and esteem. it is true that you may fool all of the peole some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
--Adrienne Rich (a liberal, feminist, poet, and writer)said, "Lying is done with words and also with silence."
What the Bible says about Lying
--Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all the LIARS--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
--Leviticus 19:11
Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.
--Proverbs 26:27-28
If a man digs a pit, he will fall into it; if a man rolls a stone, it will roll back on him. A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin.
--Psalm 31:18
Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
--Proverbs 17:7
Arrogant lips are unsuited to a fool--how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
Now if what the Professor of a University says is true, "I'm a liar, your a liar and that's ok?" Then why is there so many people losing their jobs because they lied, people being hurt because of lies? Even Going to Jail because they lied! I mean if it's ok then why is there such hard consequences for lying? I mean even the bible says you shouldn't lie.
Maybe that Professor is practicing "SELF DECEPTION" you think?
Note: all the stats, quotes other than the ones from Abraham Lincoln, Adrienne Rich and bible verses were directly taken from "The Truth About Liars" Documentary from the Science Channel

Book: The Secret Holocaust Diaries The Untold Story of Nonna Bannister
Nonna's story like so many others who suffered at the hands of the Germans is at times horrific and total sorrow comes over you. But to know that God made a way for her to be safe and protected from the Nazi's is a miracle.
In this blog I will be sharing about the book and also excerpts from the book. The stories that really tore at my heart.
_________________________________________________________________________
The Secret Holocaust Diaries is a haunting and eyewitness account of Nonna Lisowskaja Bannister, a remarkable Russian-American woman who saw and survived unspeakable evils as a young girl. For half a century, she kept her story a secret while living a normal American life. She locked all her photos, documents, diaries, and dark memories from World War II in a trunk. Late in life she unlocked the trunk, first for herself, then for her husband, and now for the rest of the world.
Nonna's story is one of suffering, torture, and death--but also of incredible acts of kindness that show the ultimate triumph of faith and love over despair and evil. The Secret Holocaust Diaries is in part a tragedy, yet it's also an unforgettable true story about forgiveness, courage and hope.
______________________________________________________________________
Below are 2 stories from the book that really hit me hard and I wanted to share them with you. Warning. They are very graphic and quite upsetting
Nonna's Papa is found
When the Russian soldiers came to Nonna's home town in Russia to evacuate because the Germans were invading Nonna's father decided it would be better if he, Nonna and her mother stayed at their home hoping that the fact her father and she spoke fluent German they could talk to the German Soldiers and convince them to not harm them.
When the Germans came to their town Nonna's father sent Nonna and her mother to a neighbors home for safety, while her father stayed behind and hid in the cellar where he had dug a tunnel in the cellar wall for a hiding place. While hiding in the tunnel for days he caught a cold. 2 German soldiers came into the cellar and began drinking their home made cherry wine. The soldiers got drunk and started talking loudly. Suddenly Nonna's Papa had to cough and when he did the Germans found his hiding place dragged him out of the tunnel and beat him and gouged out his eyes!
Nonna's mother and Grandmother brought him to a deserted home where they were staying and nursed her Papa. However due to the injuries he sustained he died a few weeks later. About an hour after her father passed away Nonna was alone with her father while her mother was out and 2 German soldiers broke into the house. When Nonna told them her father had died they didn't believe her and one of the soldiers to his bayonet and stabbed her father through the heart in front of Nonna. When they new her father was dead they took some food and left the home.
A few months after Nonna's Papa died, Nonna and her mother were convinced by the Germans to go work for them in Germany. They promised a place to live, sleep and good food and a job. We know that was a lie and they were actually being imprisoned to work in the labor camps in Germany. This was the story that totally broke my heart when I read it I sobbed for over an hour.
This excerpt from the book starts out as Nonna and her mother are on the train to Germany in cattle cars filled with other women and children. The train stops and the door opens. The SS soldiers distribute a piece of bread and a cup of water to them. When Nonna sees a little boy....
Our car sat there; we could hear the activity outside, and we knew that there were alot of soldiers and SS men scurrying about. The dogs were barking, very excited with all the activity that was taking place. The Germans slid our rail car door open about eighteen inches or so and fed us a piece of bread, and they gave us some water in some kind of old rusty metal cups. The bread was dark in color and it was just a chunk as if the dough had been spooned onto a pan and baked. It certainly did not look good. As the Germans were feeding us, my attention was drawn to a rail car loaded with Jews. Their rail cars did not have doors, but had iron bars across the door opening.
My attention was caught by a small boy who was standing inside the car, with his mother holding him by his thin little shoulders. He had his frail little arm sticking out through the bars and was making a begging motion with his little hand. As I looked at him, he was not much more than a skeleton, and his head seemed to be larger than normal. His eyes were deep set in his head and appeared to be very large. My attention was drawn to this little boy and while I knew that there were a lot of things happening. I stared at this young boy and his skinny little hand begging.
I decided that I was going to give my bread to this young boy, but I needed to get out of the rail car and sneak over to where I could hand it to him through the bars of his car door. I slid through the opening in our door and down to the ground. The Germans were very busy, and if they saw me, they didn't say anything. I ran over to the Jewish rail car and handed the chunk of bread to this young boy, who was murmuring something that was barely above a whisper. I knew that I had to hurry back and get into our car, but just as I turned around, the Germans were rushing toward the Jewish car along with their dogs, and they were shouting, "Raus, Raus!"
As they unloaded the Jews from their car I was caught up in this large group of people. A German soldier pushed me into the crowd and said, "If you want to feed them, join them!" The Germans were using large sticks and the dogs to herd this crowd of people toward a large field, and I was trapped in this rush of people and was being herded along with them. I was scared and I kept looking back at the car where Mama and the other people were. However, the Germans continued to push, directing this large group of people toward the large filed. As I looked back, I saw the little boy and his mother just a couple of feet away and he was still clutching the chunk of bread in his little hand.
The German soldiers and the SS men were driving the crowd toward this open field where we could see a few Jewish men digging a large ditch. It started to rain, and everyone was running to keep ahead of the German soldiers and their dogs. Everyone seemed to know that we were going to be executed but did not dare to stop or try to escape . Whne we got to the ditch, the Germans made the crowd seperate and line up in front of the large ditch that had been dug by the Jewish men. The little boy grabbed me and pulled me in front of him. His mother was clinging to his skinny little shoulders as they tried to stay together. The Germans started at the other end of the large ditch and made the men who had dug the ditch strip off all their clothing and stand their naked. All that I could think was, "how did I end up here?" I was thinking of Mama back at the rail car knowing that she was frantically looking for me.
Then the Germans began to shoot those poor people one by one in the bnack of their heads, and they just toppled over into the ditch. They moved down the line of Jews, shooting them with their pistols the stos sounded more like large firecrackers than guns. However, everyone knew what was coming and as the Germans were three people away from this little boy and his mother and me, he grabbed me and gave me a havy push into the ditch, which was now a muddy mess a mix of mud and blood of those who were being executed.
I landed face down in the mess, with my head, face and body covered in this blood y mud. It seemed like just a moment but I heard this little boy's mother scream, "NATHAN!" as the Germans shot both of them. Nathans body landed on top of me and he did not move his little body did not have much weight, so I lay there very still. I was afarid to move even a little finger. I had turned my head so I could breathe before Nathan landed on top of me, and I lay there for what seemed to be an terenity before I opened my eyes after the shooting stopped and the german soldiers had moved away from the ditch.
When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Nathan's body lying on top of me, still with the little piece of bread clutching in his little hand.
After it was all over, Nonna crawled out of the ditch and made her way back to the rail car where her mother was but she never forgot little Nathan and how he saved her life. Now you understand why I cried for over an hour.
How did Nonna survive?
Nonna and her mother worked at a Labor Camp for some months. Then they were transferred to a hospital to work, and because Nonna spoke 7 different languages she was very much needed to translate because of all the different soldiers coming through the hospital for treatment.
Nonna stayed at that hospital until the war was over. She was kept hidden by the Nuns, priests and doctors that worked there. They even changed her name to protect her. Nonna's mother was not so lucky she was shipped off to a concentration camp to be killed because the Germans found out that during their trip from Russia to Germany a woman had ran up to their rail car and handed her a baby. It turned out to be a Jewish baby. The German soldiers took the baby and killed it but also reported that Nonna's mother had tried to help the Jews. So she was labeled a political prisoner and just days before the Americans freed the concentration camp she was at the Germans put her in the Incinerator.
Nonna was the only survivor of her entire family and she was just in her late teens by the time the war ended. After the war she fulfilled her fathers dream and moved to America.
These 2 parts of the book are what totally hit me to my soul. I hope you have enjoyed learning about Nonna and her life. Please if you love this blog you must read the book. Never forget that there is true evil out there and we must continue to fight it to keep this from ever happening again.

The Sheep and the Goats
The Sheep and the Goats
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Romans 12:1-2 (New International Version)
Romans 12
Living Sacrifices
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

New Form of Birth Control: Bribary!
The group College-Bound Sisters was founded at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro by Hazel Brown, a maternity nurse who thought too many teens were having babies.
Brown said she hopes the program, which pays $1 each day to 12-to-18-year-old girls, will keep them from getting pregnant. In addition to remaining pregnancy-free, the girls must also attend weekly meetings.
The program is funded by a four-year grant from the state.
"Our three goals are that they avoid pregnancy, graduate from high school and enroll in college," Brown said.
Under the program, $7 is deposited into an interest-bearing college fund that the girls can collect once they graduate high school.
Some recent graduates earned more than $2,000 and are an inspiration to those still in the program.
"I might want to be a teacher for a few years and then be a lawyer," said 12-year-old Chelsey Davis. "I might want to be an actor or singer," another girl in the program, Amanda Davis, added.
Program director Laurie Smith said those aspirations are more achievable because of the incentives the program provides and the friendships it helps create.
Smith said nearly 100 percent of the girls who finish the program have gone on to graduate college.
If a girl drops out or gets pregnant, her money is divided among the other girls still in the program.

When I read this I thought, "when are parents going to wake up and take responsibility for their children and be parents to them and good role models? I mean when a child does something wrong to make them stop doing the "wrong" we discipline them NOT BRIBE THEM!"
So not only do we bail out and give money to companies that do wrong but now to children as well? And what has the bail outs solved? Nothing and so will this until parents take responsibility and discipline their children and bring them up with morals and show them that you can't BUY your way out of your bad decisions. Money truly is the root of all evil it seems.
Proverbs 22:6 (English Standard Version)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
These children are our future generation who will teach them the way? Will YOU?

Mexico Legalizes Small Amounts of Illegal Drugs
To read the whole article click on the link below
http://www.cnn.com/2009/PO
When people are hooked on drugs they will do anything to get their drugs whether they legalize it or not it is the same with prescription medicines. People get hooked on those too and they will break into pharmacies rob them, write fake prescriptions or even steal prescriptions to get the drugs and these ones are legal. It doesn't matter!
Also when people are hooked on drugs they can become violent and assault or even kill people. It happens with alcohol a drunk gets into a vehicle and drives away they are more than likely going to kill or injure someone. A person gets drunk and becomes violent and either assaults or murders someone. Even though we have legalized alcohol since the prohabition. It doesn't matter!
Crimes are still being commited even though we have legalized prescription drugs and have legalized alcohol in this country. Thousands of people every year are still being arrested for crimes they commit while under the influence of priscription drugs and alcohol. Will this really stop the violence?
This just shows that we are not only becoming a lawless society but a lawless World. We as Christians really need to start praying and taking a stand against the evils of this world before it is too late.

Topic: Jon and Kate plus 8 A Family in Crisis
These children also have never had a normal life since they were babies there have been cameras in their faces almost constantly. That to me is not healthy they have no private lives to live and grow as most children do. Since day one of the show there has been a lack of outside family support from Grandparents, aunts and uncles. So all these children know is the camera crew, producers, directors and their "parents" and a handful of people that help clean and babysit for the family. What kind of family is that?
As the show has progressed so has my anger of how Kate has used these children to get free tummy tucks and other plastic surgery, free vacations, clothing etc. She has totally changed since the show began I don't even recognize this person anymore.
From season 1-3 they would talk about going to church and even had episodes showing thechurch they attended and some of the sunday school teachers the children interacted with. But now there is not one mention of church or even that they believe in God anymore.
When they filmed the last episode of Season 4 you knew something was up Jon just sat there in the chair with Kate and had an angry look on his face and they talked about how they didn't know if they were going to do a 5th season and Jon even said he didn't want to do it. But Kate did and that is why we are seeing this unfold now. I loved watching the show until season 4 when you could just see things were not going right and I didn't want them to do another season I wanted them to end it.
On tonights Episode they announced that they filed for divorce today. I am not surprised. However, during the show Kate said this decision was not brought on by their choices to do the show or the kind of jobs they have chosen to do. Kate also said that they "have" to seperate and that they "have" to continue with the show. How does she get that? If they had just stopped the show take some time to be together and work on their marriage instead of her flying all around the U.S. to do speaking engagements and Jon staying with the kids and doing what he wants to do and they brought God back into their marriage and made Him the focus again they would still be together.
Jon's comment to the decision was that "I've let Kate run the roost too long and run me over, and when I finally put my foot down it came to this" I agree. You see on the episodes Kate doing just this and Jon not standing up for himself and letting her run her mouth at times. But it also takes 2 to tango and Jon has made some very bad decisions in the past few months so they both are at fault.
They both said on the show that they were constantly fighting in front of the children and because of that they "have" to separate. If these children were exposed to this I want to know if they could be charged with psychological abuse to their children. I know as a child of divorced parents and being exposed to my parents fighting all the time it affected me when I was a child and I believe parents should have enough self control not to fight in front of their children that to me shows a lack of maturity on both parts.
For months Jon and Kate have been investigated whether or not they are exploiting their children. I believe they are especially now that they have gone this far, and you can see it is affecting the children. The first episode of this season Alexis one of the Sextuplets came up to Jon and said "Daddy I don't want you to go away anymore." That showed me these children are suffering from their decisions but I am sure that they will cover that up on the show.
At the end of the show Jon and Kate said that they would share custody of the children that the house is the kids and that one parent would stay there for so many weeks or months at a time and then the other parent would stay. They said that they would have open "communication" with each other to take care of the kids. However, at the beginning of the show Jon and Kate both admitted that they have hardly spoken to each other in months and can't hardly have a conversation without yelling at each other. Yeah I can see this really working out.
What is the future of this family now? I see in the future that the lines of communication will crack and that sooner or later one of the parents (and I think Kate) will file for complete custody of the children and the other parent will be left in the dark and have to pay out a BUNCH of child support.
I hope that this show will soon be cancelled due to the complaints of the viewers media etc. and that finally these children will not have to live their lives unfolding for all the world to see. If you have never seen the movie "The Truman Show" with Jim Carey it is about a boy that from birth was on a Tv reality show but was never told and never knew his life was watched by the entire world and when he discovers that his entire life is fake he rebelles and escapes from the fake reality and into the real world I think this is what will happen with these children sooner or later if this show is not stopped. Please pray for this family and all who are involved.
God Bless
Have Reality Shows Gone Too Far?
Every week someone has been sent to the hospital for medical treatment. Everyone has been literally eaten alive from insect bites. Each person that had to have medical treatment and sent to the hospital suffered from stomach or bowel problems. But today was the kicker Stephen Baldwin left the show yesterday and was hospitalized he said he was unable to keep food down and was having stomach problems. However that is not the end of his ordeal he had over 100 insect bites on his body and when inspected they found out that the insects that had bitten him had laid parasite eggs inside of his body. Stephen also lost 22 lbs in 3 weeks. The eggs were removed at the hospital and he is recovering.
To me TV Reality producers and directors have gone too far. When will we draw the line on how far these shows can go and endanger peoples lives?
The sad part to me is that the show will not end until this Thursday and there are still 5 people left on the show to endure more torture just to raise some money for charity. They are starving being eaten alive by insects being forced into games that are endangering their lives and for what a few TV Ratings?
After hearing about this today Jeremy and I are no longer watching the show we only watched it to vote for Stephen Baldwin and since this has happened to him and 2 other people that were on the show we are done with it.
I know some of the people on the show have been very mean like Spencer and Heidi Pratt and Janice Dickenson but it no one deserves to be put into this kind of situation. My heart goes out to all of them and I pray they all survive this without any life long health problems.

What is FORGIVENESS???
15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Living as Children of Light
17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.20You, however, did not come to know Christ that way.21Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26"In your anger do not sin"[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Forgiveness is not forgetting
Forgiving is not condoning
Forgiving is not excusing
Forgiving is not absolving
Forgiving is not reconciling
Forgiving is not easy.
Forgiving is not simple
Romans Chapter 8 states: “Now there is therefore no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law
of the Spirit is life in Christ Jesus who has set us free from
the law of sin and death.”
Forgiveness is not a passive
tolerance. Without a keen moral sense of right and wrong,
forgiveness would have no content, nor would it ever be
needed. To forgive involves recognizing both the moral
worth of the other and the moral wrong he or she committed.
Moral violations in relationships are wrong. To deny moral
wrongdoings in an attitude of “judge not lest you be judged”
is as self demeaning as it is unhealthy. It is a denial of
personal dignity, both in ourselves and in others.

SACRIFICE-What It Means To Follow Jesus Christ
A change in lifestyle would mean losing some friends and things that you do.
This in turn would make you become alone.
At times people will have to be alone to take a stand in their beliefs. Such as at school or work, and possibly their own home.
Everyone is a critic. We all have our own thoughts and they don't always line up.
With this in mind should we give up what we do? No we shouldn't.
Hard work and money doesn't mean you will ever be rich. It is your acceptance of who you are and that you are in the will of God that keeps you going.
We as Christians are always in the public eye. Someone is waiting for us to fail and others may not get what we are trying to tell them.
My life story tells about the different seasons. There is nothing wrong with crying and anger if we keep from sinning.
Depression will come and go. But that is a choice.
We are responsible for everything we do.
How we spend our money.
Who we associate with.
Where we go.
How we think of others.
As the title states.
"PRICE"
To follow Jesus is a "SACRIFICE".
Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Prosperity Theology:
Prosperity theology is the teaching that an authentic religious belief and behavior in a person will result in their material prosperity. That is, the doctrine holds that material prosperity, particularly financial prosperity and success in business and personal life, is to be expected as external evidence of God's favor. This favor may be preordained, or granted in return for efficacious prayer, merit-making and/or appropriate faith.
DENY:
: to declare untrue 2: to refuse to admit or acknowledge : disavow 3 a: to give a negative answer to b: to refuse to grant c: to restrain (oneself) from gratification of desires4archaic : decline5: to refuse to accept the existence, truth, or validity of
Christ doesn't define PROSPERITY like it is above.
BUT
He does talk about "DENY YOURSELF AND FOLLOW ME"
A persons WEALTH is NOT found in MONEY
Proverbs 22:1
A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
Ephesians 2:7
in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
It is found in who you are.
Psalm 31:19
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST!!!
Matthew 6:19-21
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Let your life REFLECT that of Christ!
Hebrews 13:7
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
3 John 1:11
Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
Ephesians 5:1
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children
do YOU LOVE CHRIST???
Daniel 9:4
I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands,
Matthew 5:44
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew 6:24
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
Matthew 10:37
"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;
Matthew 22:37
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
Matthew 22:39
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE IT ALL AWAY FOR CHRIST???
Mark 10:21
Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
GOD GAVE HIS SON AWAY TO DIE FOR YOU
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Let JESUS CHRIST be the CENTER of your LIFE
John 12:25
The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
LOVE THOSE YOU KNOW
John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
OBEY what the Lord tells you
John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
John 14:23
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Now for those who are in CHRIST
His LOVE has no BOUNDS!
Romans 8:36-38
36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
OUR DESIRE SHOULD BE A FULL COMMITMENT TO SERVE THE LORD
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
So does this COMMITMENT of our whole LIFE and EVERYTHING we do sound like what you are thinking?
It is NOT PROSPERITY & CONVENTIONAL
CONVENTIONAL
1: formed by agreement or compact2 a: according with, sanctioned by, or based on convention b: lacking originality or individuality : trite c (1): ordinary , commonplace (2): nonnuclear 1 3 a: according with a mode of artistic representation that simplifies or provides symbols or substitutes for natural forms b: of traditional design4: of, resembling, or relating to a convention, assembly, or public meeting
Prosperity Theology:

Following Christ is not COMMON and it is not POPULARITY "the secret" where someone thinks and gives all they have and out of the blue wealth and health will come.
Yes I do believe in blessings and people being healed.
But Christ desires for people to believe the unseen first. There are still those that won't believe until something happens.....

I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.
